Re: Spout to NDI for Magic

I figured it out. Under Graphics Resolution in the Magic WIndow Options. If you enable Use size of Magic Window it breaks the NDI stuff unless the Spout Output is also enabled.

Yes but it doesn't affect anything if I change it.

Re: Spout to NDI for Magic

Ok, but that shouldn't be necessary at all. The NDI modules aren't really Spout-related except in name. They don't use any of the same technology that is involved in transferring video between apps using the graphics card. Ok. I don't know what to tell you. I uncheck it and immediately all the NDI ...

Re: Spout to NDI for Magic

It works fine on my machine. Windows 10.0.17763 As for files, just make sure that Processing.NDI.Lib.x64.dll is in the same folder as the modules. Ok I figured it out. If I don't have "Spout Output" checked then the NDI stuff doesn't work. If I enable it then all the NDI stuff magically w...

Re: Spout to NDI for Magic

Hard to say. If NDI is working for other apps, then make sure Magic can get through your firewall. Or try testing Magic on a different computer. Etc. Eliminate variables until you whittle down the problem to its core, you know? Yes I've tried all these things. One machine is a new build. I was thin...

Re: Spout to NDI for Magic

This stopped working for me. Tried on 2 different PCs. I get the plugins to show up in Magic but the receiver doesn't see any of my NDI sources (even ones on the same PC that show up using any other NDI software). Sender doesn't work either.

Hi Eric,

Just wondering if there is any update on this? I was using the spouttondi plugin that worked with magic but it stopped working for me and would love to see native integration.

Re: TextFile/Image Refresh Module Parameter?

Did anyone come up with a solution to this? I'm also trying to dynamically bring in song title in from a text file that is automatically written to every time the song changes by an outside app.

Re: Support virtual audio devices on Mac

I literally only see my two audio interfaces in the Input Sources window. See screenshots. I'm on Mojave.
I'd love to know what I'm doing wrong.

Support virtual audio devices on Mac

Hey there. I am trying to feed the audio from a Loopback virtual device into MMV but the only input devices available for me to pick are the hardware audio interfaces connected to the mac.

Re: NDI Output option

I mentioned this inside another thread in the General section but figured I'd officially request it here: Please add NDI Output support. Currently using Spout to NDI conversion app but that uses 10-12% of my CPU on an i7-6850k just for the conversion so it would be really nice if I could remove tha...

Re: Weird alpha channel results using Spout to NDI in OBS.

Hmm actually it seems like you pointed him in the right direction. I think the solution would be the same as where you directed him on the OBS forums. But lemme see if there's any alternative solutions I can think of. Great! Thanks for looking into this :) On a side note it would be awesome to have...

Re: Weird alpha channel results using Spout to NDI in OBS.

I definitely see what you are saying. That problem is the exact indication of applying the wrong type of alpha blending (straight vs pre-multiplied). Here's a bit more information: https://www.cgdirector.com/premultiplied-alpha-vs-straight-alpha/ Is the OBS NDI plugin a separate download? If so, ca...

Re: Weird alpha channel results using Spout to NDI in OBS.

I just wanted to add a screenshot example for reference and to confirm my issue: http://i.imgur.com/zLYA2p5.png The top one is the Magic -> Spout -> Spout to NDI -> NDI source in OBS The bottom one is a PNG export from Magic added manually to OBS as an image source. So if indeed this is pre-multipli...

Re: Weird alpha channel results using Spout to NDI in OBS.

Indeed it seems like a premultiplied alpha thing. I will post in the OBS forum for the NDI plugin now that I have a technical term for it as there are no settings.

Weird alpha channel results using Spout to NDI in OBS.

I just purchased Magic the other day and I have to say it is pretty awesome so far. I am running into an issue where anything that should have some alpha transparency has a shadow / darkening effect instead of what it should really look like so on light backgrounds it looks pretty bad. I'm trying to...
