Hey Eric,
Im curious if setting up a RAM disk offers any advantages when rendering or if its something mainly to be used for realtime manipulation.

You may be able to do this with unity via spout 2Syd wrote: one way that might be easier than editing all the source videos is playing it with something else, applying the mask to the composition, then bringing it into magic with spout/syphon and using the same solution you came up with.

Thanks for these! I had been scratching my head trying to do some kind of chromakey effect with the Resolume plugins without any success.

That would be swell. Or if its possible, to drag a file into Magic from an OS folder and have it generate its corresponding module.

For images, videos, models This may or may not be possible, but It would be pretty cool to have as a feature. Often times I end up moving around the assets for my projects which means going back and linking them again through the file browser. I do try and keep projects self contained to their folde...

Been holding onto this one. I was working on this for a festival during the summer only to find out that the artist was playing during the day... I used bits of it that night for a completely different performance :P I tried to stick to his aesthetic as best I could. https://vimeo.com/104578045 Orig...

Re: From a recent gig
I've done longer improvised shows that have been more grueling. The key I've found is to have good pacing so that you don't run out of material/fx. I'm still figuring out a workflow with Magic that has more control over the visuals. Most of my sets so far have ended up really improvised haha I like ...

From a recent gig
Had a chance to do the visuals at a local arts and music festival. Luckily, someone there was recording most of the night. My intention was to have audio in from the mixer, but things change up so much during shows. I should probably make a better effort to communicate this for future gigs. My mic i...

Re: how to connect an ip camera in adition to built in camer
The IP webcam feature in manycam works great. They even have an app so you can connect your phone and use that camera as an input. If you want to get rid of the watermark without going pro, you have to install 4.0.78, and then deselect "Show Manycam logo" under the Text tab. Thats the last...

I tried this and it worked as you stated. Going full screen fixes the problem. But I have to do it for every scene that has a 3d model which I want to use 2D modules on. In the first scene that was problematic, I had model and no modules other than Magic modules. In the second problematic scene I ha...

Im looking at this with a fresh set of eyes today. So creating a new file with the beta and using a 2D module doesnt work. Opening an existing older file with the same setup does work. Also, while attempting to test it again for a screencap, I noticed that all of the models in all of the scenes had ...

So I created a simple file with a rotating .3ds model with trails followed by kaleidoscope, in the last official release.
