Re: How to make 3D receding dancing gridlines
I did this a while back. You can get close to that effect, by creating a Landscape in Blender or other 3D software. Then send the 3D Landscape to duplicates of Translate-Scale, adjusting the Z Translate and Y Scale parameters, to make the 3D model feel it's one continuous object and connecting them ...

Re: OBJ Texture Import not working.
Try renaming your .png or jpg file if it has any spaces in it. If your file name is like this "my sphere" try renaming it to "mysphere". If you can export out to a collada dae file, the solid color should look right. You could also try editing the .mtl file in a text editor for t...

Invert Starfield
Hi there,
Is there a way to make the starfield move outwards. I want to attach an object to the starfield one coming towards, and one going the other way.
thanks

Re: Speed Modifier
Hi Eric,
Yeah, my bad I'd forgotten how the ramp actually works! had to find a previous project where the object was scrolling smoothly. I had one object and about 7 translate modules off-setted slightly on the z axis, then one translate module connected to them for the ramp. working all fine now!

Re: Speed Modifier
Hi Eric,
Putting 'Scale' and another 'Peak' last in the chain of parameters seems to work!
Altering anything else before that just messes up the 3D.object placement alignment.
I can take down the example Youtube video now, seeing it served it's purpose!

Re: Speed Modifier
Hi Eric, I was hoping for a speed parameter after the ramp, so as to control the motion of the forward movement, like in the starfield. Using the ramp values to slow things down looks visually to me, too jerky and it loses that momentum of going forwarding. I did look at the peak value, if you're su...

Re: Speed Modifier
Hi Eric, Sorry, if i got the name of what I was describing wrong. I assumed they were called 'modifiers' after looking in the help file to see what each one does. I can reduce the ramp value down, but then the illusion that I was after is gone. By leaving the ramp value as it is, and having another ...

Speed Modifier
Hi Eric, Would it be possible to add a Speed Modifier in the modules? Like the one that's in the Starfield! I've been looking and can't seem to find something to control the speed of this effect I am working on, unless I've overlooked a modifier that can do it. I am using the ramp modifier for this ...

Re: Can adding noise help with the output rendering?
Okay artnik! I get your point, adding noise doesn't help!
Here are some examples from Particle Illusion! Some look okay, whilst others don't. Not my video BTW

Re: Can adding noise help with the output rendering?
Hi Eric, I do get clear videos exporting from Magic! :). But depending what image/content I put in Magic, then apply some affects the banding colour separation will occur. It's not the fault of Magic! it's a GREAT piece of software! I'm getting some excellent results from the presets I'm creating! I...

Re: Can adding noise help with the output rendering?
Ah! Okay
I did do a quick experiment, adding a little 'Bad TV' noise. It did improve the the pixelation when played back on my Laptop. Most probably experiment some more, rendering out a normal movie and another with noise, then combining the two.

Can adding noise help with the output rendering?
Hi Eric, I came across this video a while back, and saw the discussion about 'YouTube Crunching the video'. Would adding noise/dither help?. Could a module specifically designed to do that job be of any use! Just wondering and putting this thought on the forum! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWAp7E...

Re: youtube crunching the video
I had issues with my Laptop playing back HD Youtube videos, fan spinning like mad! after seeing an Amazon firestick TV stick in action. I boughtt a NowTV stick. I played back some of the high quality videos through my NowTV stick, via the YouTube app, and the quality is crisp! @Eric, even the Magic ...

Re: Instagram : aspect ratio
Thanks Eric :). Hmm yeah I see what you mean. I don't use Magic Music Visuals for live sessions, only for creating videos, and at the minute designing presets for when the time comes to use them in full Music Videos....for social media. It would be good to see how a Instagram preset in Magic Music V...

Hi Eric,
Would it be possible to add Instagram aspect ratio's in the Graphic Resolution presets? Or does it not matter anymore!

Re: Clear recent projects
when I'm creating/designing a new pattern module. I sometimes duplicate them, with some changes, and save as a separate project. I've accumulated quite a few, with the aim of adding them in a new video project when needed. They can build up in the recent projects list. Would be nice to clear them, a...

Hi Eric,
Would it be possible to add a 'clear recent projects' tab?
Nice updates BTW. I especially like the - New Scale parameter for all the Media modules!

Auto Advanced Start Time
The automatic time feature is still useful when adjustments are needed for a whole playlist when exporting video. Only suggesting if it's possible to turn off that feature when creating/editing a playlist.
