Transferring license to a new computer
In a couple days I hope to have a new laptop and will need to relocate the software to a new computer. I am hoping there is a procedure I can follow to do this. I am not getting the most spectacular of machines but it will certainly be an improvement over the existing one.

Re: Performance not as good in version 1.52?
Good question. I think what you're referring to is a new feature in 1.52: the ability to set a constant graphics resolution. This is enabled by default, because it results in a better workflow for most users. The default resolution is 1280x720, which may be higher than what you were using before (p...

Performance not as good in version 1.52?
I loaded up a couple of patches and in ones using three shaders I have dropped from a frame rate of around 20 to 30 fps to a frame rate consistently below 10.0. My machine is kind of wimpy, an AMD E450 with 8 gb and Radeon HD graphics running at 1.85ghz and I will be replacing it in a few weeks but ...

The type of thing I am doing now
Have not posted in a while as i did not want to flood the board. I have gotten into using multiple glslshaders with lumakey, a slow rotation, and the kaleidoscope module. Oddly enough I am not linking any of the sound to the video parameters but am happy with the pure randomness of it all. Hope you ...

A simple question about playlists exporting and transitions
I am wanting to start adding a fade from black to the front and a fade to black to the end of videos I export. I have done some short run tests but want to see if I am correct in my thinking. I use a blank scene for the two blacks. I want to do a video, for example, that is exactly 10 minutes long. ...

Re: Help
One way to change the color palette is to use the scale operator to limit how much it changes and the offset operator to set the range where it changes. It is not exact but you can get more control over it and at the very least keep it from using all of the colors. You could also play with the color...

Re: problem with glsl shader module and the expansion pack f
OK, a little more information. I have the expansion pack files in a subdirectory of the Magic install special directory called 2DScenes_ExpansionPack. As an example I can load any file from that directory, save the project and when I attempt to reload I get the following message in a Warning dialog ...

Re: problem with glsl shader module and the expansion pack f
PC running WIndows 7, 64 bit version.
It was the updated version that began the problem. Prior to that i often would make a patch and reopen it without it losing track of the shader file.
I will test it some more on my end when the export finishes in a couple hours.
Thanks again.

Re: problem with glsl shader module and the expansion pack f
Yes, when i close and reopen a patch. Also, meant to say it is the new 1.5 version. What happened was I created a patch this morning then updated to the new version this afternoon and reopened the patch and had the problem. I then tested it a bit to see what was going on and it happens even after fr...

problem with glsl shader module and the expansion pack files
I use some of the expansion pack files stored in a different directory and if you reopen a patch it does not find the files.I jJust have to manually reload them. It does not happen if I use from either the GLSLShaders directory or the old 2dscenes directory only when i get them from any other direct...

Possible glitch with playlists, random, and export.
I was hoping to use the random feature of playlists and create an exported video that would go through the scenes randomly and repeat. However it seems instead to to go through the scenes in order one time and then stay on the last scene until the end. So it would seem that export ignores the random...

Re: Help
That is one of mine. I have made a screen shot of the patch. The only tricky part is you will need the extended GL files that are available on the resources page and to use the file peppermintabstract
As you can see, there really is not much to it.

New video, very old music
Instead of the newer ambient stuff I have been doing I decided to use one of my old songs, with a stronger melody to show off the waveform displays and interaction with the music a bit more. It is a lot shorter than most of my stuff and hardly taxes the software but I like it well enough. http://you...

Export Process Issue
I finished a 6 hour export today and due to inattention on my part I accidentally pushed the "go" button instead of the "done" button instantly starting the process over and undoing the previous 6 hours of work. You may want to come up with some changes to the process to protect ...
