Yeah, for live presentations that's what I do. But when rendering out movies (like a kaleidoscope, etc) and wanting to update it without. It's all good, no need for playlist, was just curious cause I know you could load more than one MP3 at once and have it trigger different things.

I feel like part of this effect could also be done with the trails effect, no?

I would also suggest looking at some of the LED projectors that are available on Amazon, etc. While the entry level ones aren't great for text-oriented presentation, they are perfectly suitable for visuals/movies. What you linked was done in After Effects, but you could do similar by using specific frequency to trigger the fx with an alpha blend

Yeah I can convert them, and I have a feeling the format will start gaining more traction as the filesize is similar to a 320kbps file, but it's lossless. However in the meantime I'll just convert as I need.

I have a myriad of midi devices, but I second touchOSC. Simply because I can create whatever interface I want to use, sliders, buttons, toggles, LEDs, etc.
