Follow-up question: I might initially have a small SSD drive to be later expanded, is it practical to put my visual stuff for use in Magic on a USB 3.0 stick, put into a 3.0 drive? Is that fast enough? Like small videos, images, audio. Trying to work with a perilously limited budget here.

I was gonna ask something similar so I'll just add to your question, what are the most important specs for doing Magic-type work on a Windows laptop, like what should I count as critical needs whilst doing my shopping? Now that I think of it, I don't recall any crashes or wonky shenanigans the whole time I've used Magic. So nicely done.

Just wondering if the developers have ever considered putting Magic or something similar on iOS. I have maybe two or three hundred short videos/animations that I've made on my ipad over the last year, and Magic has been the missing element to bring them all into a higher state of usefulness. My computer is developing asthma though with all this video processing going on.

Here's a playlist of 5 videos, working my way thru Magic, two weeks in. Really taking me far beyond my video capabilities previously, it's got me coming around back to where I started with music, making it primarily as video soundtracks.
