A Magic Project with no playlist
Sound Warning! My OBS was not setup correctly when I recorded this one. Here is a video of my clicking around in one of my project files. I do not use playlists for my shows and my transitions are done with the mix module. I use an Xbox controller with my own GlovePIE script for my midi input. https...

Re: Cursor input
I am pretty sure you can map a mouse to midi using glovepie, that should work around the issue

Re: Multimix - disable preload
Okay so I spent the past day 'kinda' cleaning up the project to show you how my workflow works and how I have to work around it. For me the performance increases on being able to bypass off the mix module and turn off whats not being mixed weighs up any stuttering that would occur at < 10% opacity. ...

Re: Multimix - disable preload
"if the MultiMix parameter is not showing my input, turn me off" This has been my work around to date, it does have limitations. I used the colourHSB module as it did not seem to have much overhead and was an easy copy / paste for testing with. I need to disable the modules from the previ...

Multimix - disable preload
If multi-mix was able to load the 2nd index AS its 'mixing' instead of being active the whole time, this would make for a huge performance increase.
I use multi-mix with a lot of my 'FX' and the resource load is quite heavy and the only work around is powering off the modules when they are not in use.

Re: Questions about music videos
The more I play the more ways I find to do things.
Here is a starfield without the starfield module. If you remove the last trails module and slow the speed of the other one it should be a flickery effect like in those music videos.

Re: Questions about music videos
Morris, This is very easy to do in Magic Music and you will be able to do everything you see in the provided clips. There are tutorials available on Youtube that will help get you adjusted to the interface. Magic has the ability to export your creations so you can just apply an audio track to your p...

Re: More Input: OSC/Joystick/MIDI Clock
I will speak from experience here when I say I am very happy using my Xbox 360 Joypad with Magic Music as my only midi control surface using GlovePIE and LoopMIDI. There is no possible way that 'native' support for Xinput would make mapping my joypad any easier, i think it would actually be the oppo...

Re: FPS Drop with MIX module trying to blend effects
Sadler, I just worked it out. Because the vector is both A and B with the mix module, I can power off the FX when MIX is on A (Bypass) to increase the FPS and if I insert any random module and then POWER it off, it kills the other vector and fixes the FPS. It turns out if mix, even when set to 100% ...

Re: FPS Drop with MIX module trying to blend effects
Here is the same Effects with a couple extra in there, chained, all working with no FPS drops. Is it the way i am linking my mix modules that is causing this?

FPS Drop with MIX module trying to blend effects
Magic & Community, I have recently found a great solution for blending my effects using the MIX module but it has caused FPS drops.. I know if I chained all these effects i get zero FPS drop but when I try and link them all with the mix module, i get FPS drops. Attached is a screeshot of the pro...

Re: InputSelector: passing existing input # into an expressi
I am not sure if this helps in any way, but I mapped the direction pad on an Xbox controller for changing 2 input selectors. So you have 4 midi buttons that can cycle up and down between the 2 selectors. Here is the glovepie code. I am sure there would be an easy way to do this as an Expression. if ...

Re: Shadertoy Shaders Stopped Working
All us poor 1.65 customers are effected by Shadertoy.com new changes to the definitions 'Global', 'Texture2D' and whatever else changes been implemented. I understand that you will not release any more patches for software that has been discontinued over 15 months but do you think there is any chanc...

Simple setup with Xbox Controller
Not sure if this is the right place to share my setup, but i am happy to discuss any questions you have. I am using Windows 10 with LoopMIDI and GlovePIE. I have mapped an Xbox controller for doing basic things like scene input selection, changing blends and turning on and off effects. Layer 1 + 2 u...

SPOUT Sender Name Modifier
When using Magic Music Visuals in multiple instances (Running the -mi flag when launching the application) it would be quite useful to be able to have multiple spout senders from each instance. Right now Magic Music only uses the one single name, "Magic Main Sender". This applies from both...
