Thanks skarabee -Decided to share the Gold T patch with all users, it will demonstrate the use of Tweened motion and a approach to fake volumetrics quickly using blur, composite and additive color. alpha channels are respected. You can use it with any image to make glows or volumetrics fx, look clos...

Re: A new one :)
Hmm that last one came out really muddy and awful so I reworked it into this one, still very abstract but brighter. Going to take that old one down. Better audio also I think. I remixed it myself, a remix of a remix :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWPdYGGOuLI The Bokehs will come soon I am going ...

Sorry I got really caught in up in other stuff. Very nice! I am currently trying to adapt the newer bokehs because they are very, very smooth but I do appreciate your efforts none the less. I promise if I can get the new bokehs to work, I will share them with everyone but even If I chain the buffers...

Re: Playback getting stuck
If you have memory to spare just 2-3 gigs you can use a ram disk, then problem solved they are much faster than ssd drives, Check this out: http://www.gilisoft.com/product-ramdisk.htm Read about it before messing with that tech, it is old school like me, it is not for storage, just recording, oh so ...

Re: A new one :)
Hi Art, Thanks and good eye Yes that is exactly the shader, I had to layer with another chain using SyzGL_Iterate to give it more presence plus I was concerned about video compression taking off sharpness and vibrancy, I love anything that even remotely resembles Rutt Etra visual synths

Thanks so much for the compliment, I'm afraid it was very sloppy but I was just trying to flesh out ideas quickly. I created my own original track, Boards of Canada style, so I decided to create this quick visual for it as well. Nothing amazing, as you can see it still has magic frame info on it! I will correct that later. It is not themed, the video is more like scrap paper for a few ideas I had, thanks for wat...

Paste item(s) as selected (Workflow)
This is default in many design apps, it makes sense if I paste a group of nodes in a already cluttered viewer with many nodes, it is very useful to have the nodes pasted in as selected so I have a opportunity to move them as a group somewhere else in the patch, otherwise I have to, after pasting in ...

Robert Penner Tweening Equations ( Motion Color FX Tweening
THese methods can be applied to the motion or the properties of a image or effect by passing the data through a filter or graph. The filter give any property passed to it expression. It is a very powerful method to produce expressive and subtle motion. I am pretty sure it was implemented in after ef...

Thanks Eric, I tried that in one tab in order and reversed on the day i posted the question and using multiple tabs when you caught your 2nd response, I will admit I only tried one shader ( with 3 parts) so far, it may work with another. Hi here is a example of what I would like to use in Magic but this code if you look carefully has two Tabs on shader toy, one for the image and another for the buffer. Re: Scene switching 2 the beat Plus fake 3D and Alpha
I think you want the input selector node. I demonstrate it being used with sound and math as drivers but I could probably use it with my Octratrack via Midi, in fact that would probably be the best way to use the input selector, that is, via midi. In the same patch is help with Alpha channels using ...

FFGL plugin with 16 params out
From: Louis D'Aboville I made an FFGL plugin yesterday that some here might find useful. It just has 16 dummy parameters so you can send out Resolume's MIDI/BPM/Audio controlled parameters over OSC to your own software. Tried to give easy to follow instructions for rebuilding and customising it on t...
