I'm very glad to help if I can. I found your transition/blend very inspiring and it has revived my interest in automating music video timing in Magic. Re: A slightly different kind of image blending...
Awesome! Well done! I would call this a transition rather than a blend, as its impact and appeal come from the dynamics of the changes and the moving textures. Looks great on a phone so very effective in use for a music video. This test was hugely successful in my opinion. Perhaps it wasn't part of ...

A square format also works really well for the Waveform module in Circle mode.
Many of my projectors are 4:3 aspect ratio, some are 16:9 or 16:10.
I sometimes stretch a circular scene horizontally to fit the wider display, giving an oval shape. This too also works well imho.

The length of the movie is being rounded down to give an exact number of frames. At 25fps each frame is 40ms in duration, so the length is always a multiple of 40ms.

If your speakers are active (with built in amplifiers) then you just need to split the signal to them and feed it also into an audio input on your Magic rig. Re: Convert a glsl file to a text file
Well, a GLSL file is a text file. No need to convert or do any coding. Here are some steps to using a GLSL from https://glslsandbox.com/ in Magic. You may only need steps 6, 7 , 8 & 9 if you already have a shader file. 1) Find shader you like 2) "SHOW CODE" 3) Select all the code. Be c...

I absolutely agree with Eric's guiding principles. Furthermore, no-one will be able to give specific suggestions (eg about monitor numbers) without specific details of exactly what you wish to do and the performance area/facilities at the venue. In my experience this will evolve as you practice-prac...

Yes, it is true that the Magic Window size does matter a little bit. To standardize this across different computers, the desktop resolution would have to be set the same on all of them, i.e., 1920x1080. Thanks Eric :) Addtionally I'll specify the Magic window at 50% of screen height for ease of jud...

Is there away to set the "Magic Window" to be the same size as the fixed resolution? as at the moment depending on how big that window is there can be a a big difference in FPS (over 1000FPS in some cases) which will skew the results? There's no way to independently adjust the resolution ...

This is a very helpful addition to the table as the GTX 970 cards have a useful amount of graphics memory and are much cheaper than later generations.

Unfortunately my spreadsheet doesn't yet have benchmark results for many GPUs, and none before the GTX 1000 generation. The benchmark does not (currently) measure encoding performance. As I recall, the " Start time " option on the file menu will enable you to offset the start time of an audio track as you describe. You need to create a file with a unique name (unlike any other in the project), but it doesn't need the time offset to be pre-applied. You can adjust the time...

Although all 6 tracks can be selected, Magic only sees signals on tracks Flac 0 & Flac 1.
Audacity shows the FLAC file has signals on tracks 0,1,4 & 5.

Not being skilled at GLSL I can't spot errors and almost always need to use an automated conversion. I find it easiest and most flexible to convert ShaderToy shaders to ISF format, which for me has several major advantages over using the GLSLShader module. With the VIDVOX ISF editor https://isf.vidv...
