Local Agent support
I see quite a few requests for MCP support, local model support etc. The next people to ask this will likely be asking for skill support in Hermes, OpenClaw, Pi and other coding harnesses as well. I know you're a small company with limited time, but MCP doesn't make much sense here (that's a method ...

Midi 2.0 - Patch: KB5077181 (Wind0 and 26100.7840 for versions 25H2 and 24H2).
Just a heads up for Win11 users using loopback adapters (and very old MIDI devices), you may not be able to see those devices under the new MIDI subsystem that launched with Patch: KB5077181 (Wind0 and 26100.7840 for versions 25H2 and 24H2). https://windowsforum.com/threads/windows-11-february-2026-...

Re: Query - Disabling the automatic shadows for 3D models
That's just Phong/Blinn shading. What you want is a constant shader, that should be easily modified in any 3D app, and shouldn't take long to learn.

Re: MMV unhappy with preview on another monitor on launch/close
Rearranged monitors, cleaned drivers & moved to the Studio Driver branch (RTX 3090). Still the same. Reset the new Nvidia app's settings, turned off (and then back on) the feature that allows it to automatically configure applications for you. That seemed to do it, probably DDU doesn't clean tha...

Re: MMV unhappy with preview on another monitor on launch/close
Yes, rolled back to a driver branch from last year (I keep them on my RAID), and have gone through a few current versions as well. There's no crash log when this occurs, and it's noticeable on launch because I have render stats (FPS etc) displayed at the bottom of the preview window and it will be b...

Re: MMV unhappy with preview on another monitor on launch/close
5950X has no integrated GPU. Win11 has some prioritization features but they're set for MMV and the other apps I'm using.
Issue has persisted for a year with Nvidia drivers, and I rotate between studio drivers & gaming depending on workload.

MMV unhappy with preview on another monitor on launch/close
Microsoft Windows 11 Pro (Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100), AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, 64 GB (RAM), NVIDIA RTX 3090 using 4 outputs. Center monitor (main but not first) is 32" 4K, then the others are 1080p of various sizes spread around it. Monitors.jpg Current MMV position would be behind Resolume in c...

I'm sure it's been mentioned in some of the threads on here, but shaders are an obvious way to accomplish this now.

Re: Spout to NDI for Magic
Is it trying to use a network adapter that isn't connected? NDI is a bit easier to configure, I can't recall if Spout2NDI picks up any changes from the configuration app that ships with the distro version of Spout. Also not clear from the post what platform (mac/pc/linux) you're using...

Might also just be that the integrated graphics is not enabling the GPU (optimus if I recall) on an older laptop. Ie, laptop details usually helps this sort of discussion.

Re: Cropping Black Bars of VideoFile
If the jpegs have nothing behind them and you enable alpha, there's no need for green/colorkey. However, why not just scale the jpeg sequence vertically? I presume the sequence is played from a single module, so apply a scale modifier on that output and scale to fit. Judging from the treble clef it ...

Re: Exporting & Transparency Options
For me, I'm trying to replicate some of my traditional pipeline done in software, but in realtime. Each application has its strengths, and I certainly wouldn't ask you to deviate from your vision. I do have the isf's installed, though I'm not sure how current my MMV folder for that is compared to th...

Re: Exporting & Transparency Options
While having to do two passes for alpha is hardly the worst workflow for me (try having 18 channels of data to support your Flame operator and Colorist with various extra channels of data), the option to toggle premult on and off would be helpful for me as well. In fact, have more dedicated alpha mo...

Re: Question about Live Audio input volume changes
125hz to 300/320hz also seems to work better for kicks and snares so the visuals aren't constantly jumping around due to sub frequencies This part is going to be somewhat genre/material specific. For my needs I pocket sub 41-75hz, kicks get the dnb/nuskool treatment of slight pitchup of a 909 to pu...

Re: HELP ... Controlling Magic by a second computer ...
rtpMidi is superior in terms of timing (with no other network traffic) and superior in terms of the density of data that can be carried. MIDI limits you to 31 KBaud. And the above point about cable lengths is indeed correct, we often used to use cat5e to carry even video data at large shows (from a ...

Re: Option to set color of connecting cables
I was a heavy user of Softimage back in the day, and when using ICE (procedural fx engine with node based environment) the color coded 'nipples' indicated the type of data. Grey indicated multiple types of data, and the color would switch based on what was being connected. This was certainly invalua...

Re: Is there a 'global' input volume/gain adjustment?
Yes, but it was also discussed that this is not open to midi input so I was offering a possible implementation for that. To be honest, I would likely control input gain externally to even the machine and then ensure that the levels sent to the input and thus the software were as close a match as pos...

Re: Is there a 'global' input volume/gain adjustment?
Is it more efficient to do your audio detection with a few globals then distribute that across all scenes in a project?
And if so, wouldn't it make sense to simply add a multiplier (gain) to each of these so you can tweak it quickly in globals? Maybe that's possible via midi there?
