Music score
As a pianist, what I like most about magic is reversing the direction of the score. Here is one exemple of live playing ( first try on piano / the scenes are basic, and the poor sound comes frome the camera).
Magic is really an amazing instrument.

It sounds fine on this end, from what I hear. There is a synth pad/sequence in the background, from 5:20 to 5:40, that has that type of choppy effect sound but I cannot tell if it's intended or not. After 5:40 I do not hear it again. Same here , there is the sound on the high frequency, synced with...

working with wdm
Hi I'm testing a new soundcard ( http://www.esi-audio.com/products/u22xt/ ) actually. This card have a nice feature, you can route the asio signal to MME and WDM directly in from the driver. That's really useful for using an audio software with asio and send the audio signal to magic : you can use 2...

string exiter idea
Hi I really like the idea of string 's exiter, it makes sense with audio, and could be a nice addition to magic. I did not find an isf ou glsl for this, so ... here is an exemple from Felix Faire ( timing 1: 45) https://vimeo.com/88436279 I see a lot of creative possibilities with this, especially i...

Re: Summing soundenergy
Yes, because the module has to be drawn for the bypass parameter to be processed. Unfortunately there isn't currently a way to reset a modifier or a module by itself, but maybe it's something I should add. For now, if you want a MIDI-controllable way of resetting a module, you can use the InputSele...

Gamma compression
Hi
As a musician, I'm really not a visual expert, and have no technical Knowledge about pixels and others visual things....but I find this very interesting.
So as magic is a visual software, I just want to share it :

Re: projection mapping
I feel like if I can sort everything out in Magic, that would probably give me the best results. In Magic v1.63 I added a new command in the Scene menu: Add/Update Post-Process Scene . If you run this command it will add a new special scene called "Post-Process", and it will insert a Post...

Re: projection mapping
there is another alternative http://heavym.net/en/ I have HeavyM and Mapio pro, and use both. For mapping, My first choice is heavyM , as The software is a lot more intuitive ( routing with spout) and there is some really interesting build in fx , controlable with midi. This is howewer the first ver...

Re: Audio input to Magic from other applications
This is working if you are just using sound source from the DAW, and not from your soundcard ( for exemple external sources like mics, hardware instruments etc) as voicemeeter route the audio input directly to the output. Sometimes you just don't want that mics are always open, or in most case you w...
