Thoughts on the new 2021 Macbook Pros and MMV?
It's about time for me to get a new Macbook and I'm curious to hear what others think regarding the new 2021 machines and MMV. (For better or worse, I am unfortunately tied to Mac for a number of pieces of software). Is MMV built in such a way that users will notice big improvements when using the M...

Scene module: Retain folder structure when selecting a scene
Currently when selecting a scene for the scene module, the window displays all scenes in the project without listing any of the folders or folder structure. The Folder Panel organizes folders and sub-folders really nicely (one thing I love about MMV), but choosing a scene for the scene module can be...

Missing Media Warning Message: list scene location
Screen Shot 2021-09-06 at 11.11.27 AM.png Currently when you open a MMV project, there's a helpful message alerting you of missing media. (like screenshot above). What would be extra helpful is if that warning message could also list what particular scene that missing media is from. That way, we wo...

Re: Option to set color of connecting cables
I also would love this. Not for aesthetic reasons, but just to be able to quickly understand what my set up (sometimes you go months between using scenes and anything to help organize makes the uptake much quicker).

Re: Expression Help: Triggering up from 1 to 10, then back t
Thank you, Eric. Much appreciated.
I wasn't able to deduce that the wrap modifier would be the solution after first reading it's description in the manual, but makes more sense now.

Re: Expression Help: Triggering up from 1 to 10, then back t
I realized that what I'm trying to essentially do here is to restart the module, so I added a restart module. However, this yielded the same results: it jumped back from 10 to 1 the first time (as desired), but the next time it went 10, 11, 12, 13 etc. So I'm still stuck. Screen Shot 2021-09-05 at 4...

Expression Help: Triggering up from 1 to 10, then back to 1
Screen Shot 2021-09-05 at 3.52.47 PM.png Question about using the Trigger and Expression modifiers. I think I may just need the correct expression to get this to work (but maybe it's another modifier). Current configuration is in screenshot above. Desired behavior: I am using a MIDI foot controller...

"Updating scenes, please wait..." issue
My Magic window is failing to display, with a message that reads "Updating scenes, please wait...". It's been like this for awhile-- over 30 minutes at least. Anyone else ever have the same problem and know how to fix? It seems stuck. Image link: https://imgur.com/a/6N9ny3W I know what the...

when Source = "(No Source)", remove "Volume" from Feature
If I select "No Source" for a parameter's source on a module, Feature still reads "Volume". Yes it is greyed out, but it still feels confusing sometimes to have "Volume" there. Especially because the greyed out text isn't immediately distinguishable from the active whit...

Module Purely for Annotations
It is SO helpful that MMV allows annotations linked to individual modules. To build on that, I often find myself wishing there was a module that was purely for annotations. Something that doesn't affect the Magic Window in any way, but is just there in the GUI for organizational purposes. (I know yo...

Re: Expression Help (Using Variable) / Syncing Timing of Mod
OK I was able to solve it following your advice in another thread https://magicmusicvisuals.com/forums/vi ... f=2&t=2143
Just made a couple tweaks to fit my desired result. This is my set up:

Re: Expression Help (Using Variable)
Eric, very grateful for your feedback. Thank you. I had omitted some context in an attempt to make my question clearer, but am seeing now that I should explain a bit more. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/YXESSWn The MultiMix module is using the Sine Oscillator to oscillate between the two inputs...

Re: Expression Help (Using Variable)
If it helps to have some visual context, this is the module and the expression modifier I'm trying to find the right expression for: https://imgur.com/WZOEOF8
(The step modifier is there because the "x=1" condition was never being met without it.)

Expression Help (Using Variable) / Syncing Timing of Modules
I am having trouble writing the correct expression and would appreciate any guidance. Context: I need Event1 and Event2 to happen at the same exact time (each on a separate module). To achieve this, I am using a Sine Osc modifier on both, making the timing in sync. Goal: Each time the sine osc hits ...
